On the afternoon of March 28—as part of the Boao Forum for Asia Annual Conference 2024—the picturesque Dongyu Island Cultural Park in Bo’ao played host to a press reception, with the theme of "Hainan Free Trade Port: Leading High-Quality Development with High-Level Opening-up".

Introducing domestic and foreign media to the economic and social developments taking place in Hainan and the highlights of the Free Trade Port construction over the past year, a total of 117 journalists from 41 domestic media outlets (including People's Daily, Xinhua News Agency, and CCTV) and 35 international media outlets from 29 countries and regions attended the event.
