This summer, domestic Chinese computer game "Black Myth: Wukong" was a smash hit worldwide. Recently, at Nanwan Monkey Islet in Hainan's Lingshui, Italian photographer Fabio Nodari is seen holding a golden wand surrounded by some of Sun Wukong's “descendants” and “younger brothers” at Monkey Island.

Nanwan Monkey Islet consists of the main park and Daidai Island. The park—where most tourists go—is connected to Xincun via a lengthy over-water sightseeing cableway that not only gives visitors a quick and easy way to get to the park but also lets them catch a bird's eye view of the Tanka Boat People's floating fish farms.

Entering the scenic area, one is struck by a profusion of tropical plants among which playful and cute monkeys are seen jumping, chasing, fighting, and relaxing. Throwing off the pretense of stodgy adulthood, and with guidance from the staff about how to do so safely, Fabio happily joined in playing with them.

Taking the cable car over the boat filled harbor, Fabio is struck by the magnificent view, cool ocean breezes, and distant scene of coconut trees swaying in the wind.

With a blue sky, azure sea and white sandy beach as the background, Daidai is famous for its green coconut trees, pink minivans, lazy monkeys... This pristine beach is a great place to spend the whole day just dazing around enjoying the sea breeze and listening to the sound of waves.

“The laid-back atmosphere here makes me feel relaxed. All I need is a handful of peanuts, and I’m the king of the monkeys!” said Fabio.
