Recently, the 'We’re in This Together, Mutual Sharing of Cultures' activity, funded by the China Internet Development Foundation and the China Positive Energy Internet Promotion Fund and jointly organized by Hinews and the Hainan International Media Center, has attracted quite a bit of attention. Harvey Charles (a well-known British vlogger) was among those invited to Hainan for the project. For a whirlwhind but comprehensive exploration of both the island's industrial parks and its natural scenery, he began with a visit to the green orange and coffee plantations in Qiongzhong, followed by the Baihualing Tropical Rainforest Scenic Area, Sea Breeze International Movie Studios, and Hainan Ocean Paradise Resort.

The four videos which Harvey posted to his personal social media account have a total of over 70,000 views. Of these, the video he shared about Hainan's specialty—Qiongzhong green orange—attracted a lot of domestic attention by netizens recalling their childhood days of eating similar fruit as a kid. “I Remember it being more refreshing than regular oranges!” Hainanese locals and tourists from other places also recommended this delicacy in their comments: "It's really delicious!” “Everyone should try it.” “In dry regions, it’s a super thirst quencher!” “I love to eat these in autumn and winter.” “Everyone, welcome to taste Hainan Qiongzhong Green Orange, they’re sweet, juicy, and have a thin peel. As a local, I can't stress enough how much I love eating these!”

Some comments on Harvey's videos
At the Baihualing Tropical Rainforest Scenic Area, Harvey was entranced by the natural wonders. One netizen commented: "These Hainan short clips have been simply splendid, Harvey. Thank you for sharing them!"
In Lingshui, Harvey had two new travel experiences: as "a day as an actor” at Sea Breeze International Movie Studios and checking in at the Hainan Ocean Paradise Resort Ice and Snow World (the tropics’ largest polar pavilion).

In addition to tourist attractions, Harvey also got a brief introduction to Hainan's industrial culture. When visiting the Mushan Coffee plantation, He documented the entire process from picking coffee cherries through drying, roasting, grinding, and brewing. One netizen commented: “I always thought Yunnan was a major coffee bean province. It turns out Hainan also grows coffee!" “The video on coffee farming is very informative”.

Regarding this trip to Hainan, Harvey said, "From Green Oranges and Coffee, to the film and television base, then to Ocean World, I have had the opportunity to experience Hainan’s agricultural, digital, and marine industries, and to see how the development of different industries converges in Hainan. In the future, I hope more people will be able to learn about Hainan and what makes Hainan unique. I also hope that I can come to Hainan again in the future.”
This trip to Hainan not only gave Harvey a deeper understanding of Hainan's characteristic industries, it also allowed more people from outside to know Hainan, as a charming island full of potential.
