On the morning of March 25, a group of reporters from 11 countries, including Vietnam, Fiji, Tonga, and North Macedonia, arrived at the second stop of their Hainan tour — Wenchang Aerospace Supercomputing Center (WASC). Here, they embarked on an exploration of the wonderful world of aerospace technology. The CIPCC Hainan Tour is co-organized by the China International Press Communication Center and the Foreign Affairs Office of Hainan Province.

As soon as the reporters entered the Wenchang Aerospace Supercomputing Center, their attention was grabbed by the 20-meter-high cylindrical screen in the atrium. On the screen, the majestic momentum of a rocket launch and the awe-inspiring scene of a satellite entering orbit were presented in stunning detail, offering viewers an exciting glimpse into the launch process. The reporters took out their phones to capture what they were witnessing. WASC bears the critical responsibility of successfully launching satellites into space and ensuring smooth data transmission.
During their interviews, reporters engaged in in-depth discussions with Ye Shiyang, Chairman of Wenchang Space Supercomputing Smart Technology Co., Ltd., on various topics of interest. Shahrokh Saei, a reporter from Iran's Tehran Times, was the first to ask questions, focusing on WASC's current achievements and future goals. Introducing WASC, Ye stated that as China's only supercomputing center dedicated to the aerospace industry, it stands out with its unique advantages in its provision of full life-cycle services for aerospace data links, covering data collection, usage, storage, and transmission.

Guilherme Oblasser Paladino, a reporter from Brasil 247 News, was interested in the prospects of Sino-Brazilian cooperation in the satellite field and the development of the South American market. Ye stated that China takes a proactive approach to satellite cooperation and that WASC will continue to provide high-quality data to partners, helping to elevate bilateral cooperation to new heights and offering strong support for the development of the South American market.
Questions from Fiji Broadcasting Corporation's Nikhil Kumar touched on several hot topics, including sustainable development, climate change, and the metaverse. Responding to a question on WASC's efforts in green development, Ye stated that the Center is committed to sustainable energy practices, utilizing renewable energy sources such as solar and wind power to effectively reduce energy consumption and environmental impact.

In response to a question on utilizing WASC's facilities and equipment to provide solutions for climate change, Ye mentioned that satellites can provide high-frequency, high-resolution information, revisiting the same point up to 40 times a day. The center offers high-quality, high-precision data to its partners, helping them take responsive measures and promote green development. Regarding the development prospects of the metaverse in the Asia-Pacific region, Ye believes that by leveraging advanced technologies such as blockchain and artificial intelligence to build the metaverse, it is possible to reconstruct social scenarios and predict future trends using digital technology, serving future development.
